The Ship building sector

Firstly, we can find all the products destined to the ship building sector in which Saja
Indyna S.A. is highly specialised.

On the one hand, The Pittsburgh
Assembly System which through the
shaping of the edges of the sheet metal,
allows for a perfect fit between the two
parts of the duct

without welding, achieving a perfectly watertight duct and greatly reducing

manufacturing time.

On the other hand, the duct construction system by means of welding all the edges,
a method employed to achieve greater rigidness in the ducts using sheets starting
at 2m/m.

Both methods allow the manufacturing of ducts in stainless steel, iron or galvanised
sheet metal being also able to manufacture inner insulation against noise and
temperature.

Saja Indyna S.A. also uses two systems for the joining of existing ducts:

1-Joins by means of METU flanges
which use standard edges and frames
which fit each duct and are later welded
by means of electrical resistence

and screwed down with four screws to the next duct and tightened in the middle of the
flange with special staples.

2-Joins by means of conventional flanges with galvanised corner pieces. The
angle is cut and welded into the shape of a frame, then drilled (the number of

holes to be determined by the client) and later welded directly onto the duct by

means of continuous welding on the inside as well as on the outside of the duct.

Within the ventilation systems, Saja
Indyna S.A. supplies and assembles a
large number of structural elements for
ships such as extractors, ventilation
mushrooms, watertight grates and filters.

Saja Indyna S.A. is also a specialist in the manufacture and assembly of a large
quantity of elements for the accomodation of ships, including all piping work that is
required, such as the drinking water feed, sanitary discharges, fire prevention
systems, air and steam systems, outside pluvial discharges etc.

Apart from all these services, within

experience in the manufacture of specific

elements such as: monitor
supports, antenna supports, supports for
electrical circuit boards, for firehose
cases, stairs and rails, watertight doors

Grooves, bars, oval passants, gas detector
supports, loud speaker supports, supports
for reflectors and lighting etc as well as the
assembly of all electrical equipment for
